    A quiet afternoon on Glen Brittle beach, Skye.

  • A rocky ridge leads to the bealach (pass) by the distinctive mountain peak of Am Bhasteir and the Bhasteir Tooth. Cloud is drifting around the hills.

    Am Basteir, the Cuillin

    Cloud drifts across the Skye Cuillin mountain ridge between Coire Bhasteir and Fionn Coire. The Munro peak of Am Basteir and the Basteir tooth are seen, with Sgurr a Fionn Coire disappearing into the mist.

  • There is a wind blown tree, growing almost horizontally, beyond which we can see an old broken down stone wall leading to the beach and the sea.

  • A cairn is close by at the top of a low moorland hill, beyond which the land descends to the sea and a bay. The sky is cloudy with bright pockets of light showing through in places.

    Coire Lagan, in the Skye Cuillin mountains, from Sron na Ciche. The mountain peak of Sgurr Dearg with the Innaccessible Pinnacle is visible to the left, with the peak of Sgurr Sgumain to the right hiding the Munros of Sgurr Mhic Choinnich and Sgurr Alasdair.
